I really liked Vali's latest book. This is the best book I have read on the South African/Angolan bush war. (That makes three versions and four titles, if you've lost count. Well written and easy for layman to understand -- not full of industry jargon. So for experienced practitioners who are skilled in the difference between what should and should not be done at home, Davies' book is a welcomed addition to the library. They knew it could happen,but they didn't want to think it would happen. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. The young always seem to be able to question what is and what was and adapt to the new quicker than anyone realises. My Mom had read this wonderful book long ago. That was cool. This book doesn’t shy away from the tough stuff, or the ugliness of sickness, or the gut-wrenching side of Lyme disease. More than that, it is a piercing analysis of human psychology.
