Brian Lowry is the Los Angeles television editor for Daily Variety, the show-business trade newspaper, where he has worked since 1987 reporting on the TV industry in addition to writing reviews and the weekly column "Changing Channels."
A native of Los Angeles, he is a graduate of UCLA, who, during and after college, freelanced for various publications, among them Starlog magazine.
It is unfortunate that this work is not more widely read outside of Asia. The book then looks at who has hurt us, and in what ways, starting with parents and those close to us. This book demystifies IR, slicing, and quick cool rollovers. It came shipped in a box so I don't think it got damaged in the shipping process but rather at the warehouse.. The book is riviting.. This doesn't suddenly make the guide any less helpful as a result or even mediocre, it just means that those who want to avoid spoilers for their first run might want to pass on it.
There's also a lot of coverage on multiplayer. Most books are written by men who were professional soldiers, for whom combat operations are often described rather like military briefings: detached, "objective" and tactical.
