James Stevenson is an op-ed contributor to the New York Times. His popular column, "Lost and Found New York," has appeared regularly in the newspaper since 2003. He was on the staff of The New Yorker for more than three decades; his work includes 2,000 cartoons and 80 covers, as well as reporting and fiction. He is also the author and illustrator of over 100 children's books. He lives in Connecticut.
In the 1930's he went on to become the biggest of stars as a Detroit Tiger coincidentally in the backyard of one of America's worst anti-Semites and a pal of Hitler's Henry Ford he always said he wanted to be judged as a ballplayer and not as a "JEWISH BALLPLAYER". In 2013, I spoke to many Egyptians about the events of early 2011 (upon which "Cairo; Memoir of a City Transformed" is focussed, and purchased this book, hoping that I could gain a better understanding of how the protest unfolded, and to hear some reflection and analysis of the uprising and what it did (or did not) achieve.
Soueif's book reads primarily as diary entries from this period in early 2011 until 2013. In short- if you are a fan of Shakespeare or graphic novels in general, don't hesitate to buy from this series. In order to proceed with any kind of training some information needs to be determined before you can even decide that training is needed. I so enjoyed the book, the word of God bathed in prayers
