Lynne Schafer Gross, Ph.D., has taught radio-television-film production and theory courses at California State University, Fullerton (where she was Vice Chair of the Communications Department); Pepperdine University; Loyola Marymount University; University of California, Los Angeles; University of Southern California; and Long Beach City College. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh; her master's from California State University, Long Beach; and her doctorate from UCLA. She is currently an associate producer for the instructional video series Journeys Below the Line produced by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation. During the 1980s she was Program Director for Valley Cable TV in Los Angeles. She has served as the producer for several hundred television programs, including the series From Chant to Chance for public television, Effective Living for KABC, and Surveying the Universe for KHJ-TV.
